The  sarbanes oxley act summary  is thus: the legislation is a federal law that was introduced on the 30th of July in the year 2002.  It was introduced in order to make sure that no financial scandals take place in the future. Senators Paul Sarbanes and Michael Oxley were the ones responsible for the implementation of the act and thus the legislation has been named after them, in honor of their contributions to the government and the society as a whole.
