What is life cycle management all about?

What is life cycle management all about? It is about analyzing the inputs and outputs of production to determine the most socially responsible, economically sustainable and environmentally friendly combination of variables to affect the production input and output process. This is becoming increasingly important as the progressive move towards government to adopt legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will have consequences for organizations. We already seeing this in the US where new legislation is being passed which is affecting the oil and auto industries.
