Wireless Broadband Laptop
May 10th, 2008 by admin
Working from home is great and all, but man do I get a nasty case of cabin fever sometimes. I’m thinking of investing in a
wireless broadband laptop so I can get out and be around people more often. Maybe get a little sun and look a little less like gollum.
Wireless Laptop NetworkingWireless Laptop Service must be the best invention ever. For me anyway. Anything that gets me out of the house is great, but one that lets me get my work done and be around people is truly life changing.
Of course knowing my luck mine will get stolen 3 days after I buy it, or I’ll spill coffee on it the day after the warranty runs out. But oh well. It will be worth it all the same.

Computer Audio Recording Software: Logic Boards
May 5th, 2008 by admin
Computer audio recording software are not as easily accomplished as it might seem because the larger more discreet components found on logic boards cannot be given increased speed without generating increased cost and necessitating a major system redesign. For example, the new Macintosh G3 computers sporting 300MHz processors have undergone bus speed redesigns, but still can yield only 66MHz - up from 50MHz. That is a major improvement but does serve to illustrate the complexity of the system redesign problem.

Information Security
May 3rd, 2008 by admin
Right now it’s not a question of if our data will be compromised, but when. We’ve made no appreciable efforts toward information security, and management won’t give be the budget to do it myself
So naturally I’ve been researching Church Data Security on my own, hoping I can find a way to sell the idea to the execs. Perhaps a scary news story will wake them up
The best part is that I’m the one that will miss 3 days of sleep if this all comes crashing down, not them.

Course Building Services
April 18th, 2008 by admin
Quinn's group offers course-building services to the DCCCD online classroom faculty, an undertaking that can cost as much as $1.5 million per course. The DCCCD tele-college helps to cover those costs by generating revenue from online courses leased to faculty at other schools.Even with well-constructed courseware, however, not all DCCCD faculties make use of the system. Spiegel receives a steady stream of e-mail from students asking why one course or another isn't available on the system. He then forwards those questions to the appropriate faculty members and sometimes ends up with a request to develop a new course.

Webcast Technology Opens Up Exciting Opportunities
March 9th, 2008 by admin
Webcast technology has opened up a number of exciting frontiers and opportunities. From surveillance and security to entertainment, training and education a number of developments have taken place.
Since the internet is a ubiquitous medium, this development is a natural outcome of the very nature of that medium. The internet, coupled with the expansion in broadband technology has led to an explosive growth in webcasting.
Webcasting, by nature is non-interactive. However, it can be made interactive to an extent. Users can register with a webcast TV station, select a channel or a program on demand and give feedback. They can also request a program.
All major news networks such as the BBC, CNN and NBC have their own webcast channels.

Wireless Broadband Laptop
March 7th, 2008 by admin
I just bought a
wireless broadband laptop, and not a moment too soon. Now I can work in cafes and other such places with people and sunlight and no big piles of laundry and bills to remind me of all the other crap I need to get done. Working from home is seriously overrated.
Seriously, I can’t imagine why it took so long for Wireless Internet For Laptop Computers to become popular. Working from anywhere - what’s not to like? It’s like having a new office every day. So much nicer than the depressing cube I used to be stuck in.
I think my next “office” will be the local brewpub. Working on pub grub, Guinness in hand - sounds good to me.

The use of cad cam design software can allow instant changes to design without any need for waste or unnecessary delays. One will not also need to be exceptionally good at traditional drafting skills. All sorts of shapes, curves, and lines could be immediately and precisely placed wherever needed in a design without the need for any sort of drawing aids or materials. Cad cam design software removes much of the drudgery of drafting and computer aided design and enables even an amateur designer to make highly effective designs that are acceptably free from all sorts of flaws without even needing a single sheet of paper or a single pencil.

Document Management Standards
February 20th, 2008 by admin
Enough is enough. We’re buried under a mountain of paper over here. It’s time to institute some
document management standards, so we can actually find the documents we need.
Specifically, we need to investigate Cad Document Management. I think it would help us more than anything else with our overflowing filing system.
Of course the real hassle will be getting management to sign off on the document management standards. They’re tight fisted, but they’re just going to have to fork over the money for this one.
