In a nutshell, ERP planning (or enterprise resource planning) is a type (or different types of) software that can bring together various sectors of a single organization in order for the whole unit to function smoothly. It integrates information used by the companies for both its inside and outside transactions.

Enterprise resource planning is important because it can save companies from huge inventory costs of erp training. It uses a wide host of different departmental databases, unifies it, and manages everything seamlessly. And by everything, we mean employee records, purchase orders, customer data, item inventories, and many more. Because of this, many people in the company depend on enterprise resource planning to provide them with the information they need at any given time. Furthermore, it also allows different departments to cross-reference with one another, because they might need to access information that can only be found in another department.
