Psychology is the science that studies human behavior. Though the science of psychology is only 125 years old, it has pervaded almost every sphere of modern life. Its study has roots in fields ranging from biology to sociology, looking to establish a relationship between brain functions and an individual’s behavior or the relationship between the environment and an individual’s behavior. Since the subject is so vast, it calls for specialization. As psychology touches on so many aspects of life it has led to many subcategories of study – all of which are studied in detail at the Masters of Psychology level.
