Two Types Of Sexual Harassment

Nowadays, it is very necessary for every one to know about sexual harassment. There are in fact two types of sexual harassment. One is quid pro quo which means the exchange or denial of a promotion, pay raise or job for sexual favors. This may also include the risk of a tangible loss if the asked deed is not carried out. For instance, a boss may say, "sleep with me and you will get this job."

Second type is hostile environment sexual harassment. It implies sexual advances that are continual and repetitive and negatively affect the victim's performance. For harassment in the workplace example, every time a woman walks through the cafeteria, the coworkers may make sexual advances or suggestive remarks.
